Since I am not on blogger, I could not comment on Patricia's blog. I will leave a comment here. Her quilt is very tastefully done. I have to say, if I had not read her post, I probably would not know what it is about. Although the subject is dark, her quilt is an excellent commentary and I do not believe it would be offensive in any exhibited venue.
Patricia quilt is wonderful absolutely wonderul. It is strikingly haunting. I am on the quiltart list and read all of the post and e-mailed Patricia privately to lend my support. Rape is a weapon of war and art heals.Thank you Patricia for drawing attention to this important subject.
Kathy and Catquiltz, Patricia has been notified about your posts. They are very much appreciated.
Yes, the piece is haunting - I think its the eyes that draw you in, then make you wonder about what thoughts are caught (trapped?) behind the imperturbable, almost detached expression on her face. This is a piece that would engage my attention for quite some time.

Upon looking at Patricia's quilt again, I hear the woman saying..."Remember me..."
